These shorts were the result of a project I tackled in my free time during the summer of 2020. I found that I had an accumulation of clothes from over the years that I no longer wanted. I challenged myself to solve this problem through upcycling and reconstructing the abundance of used hoodies I had. I also took commissions where people would send me three garments of choice that they wanted to repurpose. This was my first time sewing and constructing bottoms which helped me grow as a designer as well as gain comfort working with clientelle.
My design choices came naturally as I cut through the garments. I laid out the fabric pieces in different areas. I then used patch work to build the shorts.
