This image shows some patchwork, layer work, my face drawings, the color story I chose, and words that I feel nicely sum up the creative direction I took.

At the end of each day I would wind down from the day by drawing at the kitchen table with my roommates. There were no rules or guidelines, so I naturally gravitated toward drawing silly looking stick figures. This led to using them in my collection sketches. The stick figures put emphasis on how baggy and/or oversized the garments are.

For the final illustration of my six looks I continued with the stick figure idea. I illustrated them from scratch in adobe illustrator. The goal was for this to feel lighthearted, playful and raw. While still coming across as a rendered image with my aesthetic.

I narrowed down my color story to six looks. I chose neutrals and a few pops of color to allow mix and matching, or to be worn as co-ord set. The fabric choices are soft and pliable cotton blends such as fleece lined jersey and french terry knit. I fabric dyed the white french terry to create the pink color in the hoodie and pant set.

My targeted customer is between the ages of 17 and 27. This person can comfortably spend $250 on an outfit, potentially living in a metropolitan area. They share a passion for fashion, being unique while valuing individuality and self expression.
